Bloom English Club is operated by Neziha Nihan Kiziltug as an individual (sole proprietor) based in New Jersey, USA. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have. It applies to bloomenglishclub.com and the Bloom app.
1. What we collect
- Account data — your name and email address from Google sign-in or email signup.
- Learning data — lessons completed, points, streaks, checkpoint results, your chosen first language and level.
- Voice recordings — short audio clips you record for pronunciation practice, sent for transcription so we can score them.
- AI conversations — messages you exchange with AI Coach and AI Practice.
- Phone number (optional) — only if you choose to give it when signing up as a tester and tick the box asking for WhatsApp practice reminders. We never sell or share it, apart from the messaging provider (Twilio) needed to deliver the reminder, and you can opt out at any time by emailing us.
- Usage and marketing data — pages visited, feature usage counts, and (with your consent) analytics and advertising identifiers plus campaign parameters such as utm_source.
2. Why we use it
To provide lessons and save your progress, to enforce plan and tester allowances, to give pronunciation feedback, to process payments, to keep the service secure, and — where you consented — to measure marketing and improve the product.
3. Who processes data for us
We use trusted providers acting on our instructions. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Cookies
Necessary cookies keep you signed in and remember your language. Outside the United States, analytics and advertising cookies load only after you accept them in the cookie banner. For visitors in the United States, advertising measurement cookies (Meta Pixel) are on by default and can be turned off at any time by choosing "Necessary only" in cookie settings. You can change your choice at any time from the "Cookie settings" link.
5. How long we keep data
Account and learning data are kept while your account exists. Voice recordings are processed for feedback and are not stored long-term; the resulting text score is kept with your progress. Billing records are kept as long as tax law requires.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data. Account deletion is available in Settings: it permanently removes your account, profile, learning progress, community posts and reactions, practice records, and usage data from our servers. You may also email info@bloomenglishclub.com and we will act within 30 days. If you are a New Jersey resident, you have rights under the New Jersey Data Privacy Act. Residents of other US states may have similar rights under their state's privacy law. If you are in the EU or UK, you may contact your local data protection authority.
7. Children
Bloom is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
